Heartburn is an embarrassing and often uncomfortable condition. It’s caused by the release of acid into the stomach. This causes the lining of the stomach to become thickened. This causes the heartburn valve to be opened. Thereby, it is opening blood vessels in the walls of the heart.

Heartburn helps to remove excess stomach acid from the stomach. If not treated, stomach acid stays in the body and causes to feel light-headed. This condition will not be referred to as ordinary heartburn.

Stopping the heartburn-reducing medication Nexium will prevent the symptoms of heartburn and allow the heartburn valve to be opened. You can cut back on the intake of food and beverages that contain acid.

Dare to think that antacids will stop the stomach acid releasing agents

Therefore, it is extremely important for patients to stay away from antacids that food and beverages that contain antacids for 24 hours afterwards. Do not forget to take the antacid exactly as directed by your doctor whilst stopping your treatment.
